Cheer Policies

Elite Dynamic Divas Cheer Policies

To ensure the success, safety, and unity of our team, all athletes and parents/guardians must follow the policies below. These rules are designed to build discipline, encourage growth, and maintain the Elite Dynamic Divas standard.

Attendance

  • All practices, performances, competitions, and events are mandatory unless previously excused by the coach.

  • Excessive absences may result in removal from routines or the team.

  • Arrive on time and ready to work — lateness affects the whole team.

Attire & Appearance

Add your textProper cheer attire is required for every practice (T-shirt/tank, shorts, cheer shoes).

  • Hair must be up and out of the face.

  • No jewelry during practice or performances for safety reasons.

Behavior & Sportsmanship

  • Respect coaches, teammates, and all individuals at practices, events, and competitions.

  • No bullying, drama, or negative attitudes — we lift each other up.

Social Media Conduct

  • Represent the team positively online.

  • No inappropriate content, bullying, or drama will be tolerated on personal or team-related accounts.

  • Any post that reflects poorly on the team may lead to disciplinary action.

Parent Expectation

  • Be supportive and respectful — we’re all here to uplift the athletes.

  • No sideline coaching or interrupting practice.

  • Address any concerns privately with the coach at the appropriate time.

Communication

  • All communication will go through designated team channels (GroupMe, email, etc.).

  • Parents and athletes are responsible for staying informed of schedules, changes, and announcements.

  • Notify the coach in advance of any issues or absences.

Fees & Payments

  • All team fees (uniforms, competition fees, practice gear, etc.) must be paid on time.

  • Missed payments may result in restricted participation.

Injury & Health

  • Report all injuries to the coach immediately.

  • A doctor’s note is required to return after serious injuries.

  • Athletes are expected to take care of their bodies, stay hydrated, and rest when needed.

 Consequences for Policy Violations

We believe in accountability, growth, and learning from mistakes. However, repeated or serious violations of team policies will result in appropriate consequences:


1st Offense: Verbal warning and discussion with the athlete (and parent if needed).


2nd Offense: Written warning and possible removal from parts of the routine or performance.


3rd Offense: Parent meeting and suspension from the next event, practice, or competition.


4th Offense: Removal from the team with no refund of any paid fees.

Serious offenses such as bullying, fighting, inappropriate social media behavior, or disrespect to coaches may result in immediate suspension or dismissal from the team without warning.
